Bill is a fourth-year student studying for an Integrated Masters in Engineering (MEng). His master’s research, supervised by Prof. Janet B. Pierrehumbert, focuses on improving data efficiency of LLM training through new linguistically-motivated tokenization and text segmentation methods that resembles how humans interpret text. He’s also a machine learning researcher with immense enthusiasm in fields like NLP, LLMs, computer vision, AI safety, AI alignment, interpretability, and robustness.
